Why Visit in Winter?

While most tourists flock to Plitvice Lakes during summer, winter offers an entirely different and equally magical experience. Frozen waterfalls, snow-covered forests, and virtually no crowds make winter visits special.

What to Expect

Temperatures can drop to -10°C. The lakes may partially freeze, and waterfalls transform into stunning ice sculptures.

Practical Tips

Wear warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy boots. Only certain routes are open in winter. The park has shorter hours (9:00-16:00).
