Hotel Plitvice

Hotel Plitvice holds a distinction no other accommodation can claim: it stands inside Plitvice Lakes National Park itself. Designed by the acclaimed Croatian architect Marijan Haberle and built between 1954 and 1957, this landmark building was Croatia's first A-category hotel and today carries protected cultural heritage status as one of the finest examples of post-war public architecture in the country. The hotel features 52 rooms spread across six categories, including Standard, Superior, and Premium doubles as well as spacious Junior Suites. Many rooms look out over the surrounding lakes or parkland, giving guests front-row views of the scenery that draws visitors from around the world. With 24-hour staffing and free on-site parking, the practical details are well covered too.

On the ground floor, a 160-seat restaurant serves both local and international cuisine, while the lobby bar and its adjoining outdoor terrace provide a relaxed spot for drinks with a garden backdrop. A dedicated TV lounge seating 40 to 50 people doubles as a seminar space for groups and events.

Situated just 200 metres from the main bus station and park entrance, Hotel Plitvice makes multi-day exploration effortless. Guests benefit from extended park tickets, opening up unhurried access to the trails, waterfalls, and boardwalks. Rowing boats on Lake Kozjak, kayaking, hiking, and cycling are all available right on the doorstep.
